Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate Edition: the lowdown
After six years as Aston Martin’s flagship, the Vanquish S is bowing out gracefully with a final limited edition. But to say that the Ultimate Edition is a reworked car may be a little optimistic. On the outside there’s a new paint scheme called Ultimate Black, which suits the already mean-looking Vanquish rather well.
The XFR is Jaguar’s answer to the barn-storming saloons from Mercedes, BMW and Audi, and if looks and spec (and the experience of driving the non-blown XF) are anything to go by, the new big Cat should get the cream. The XFR gets the new version of Jaguar’s AJV8 engine, which is a 5.0 litre supercharged lump, producing a whopping 510bhp, with the usual limited top speed of 155mph, and a 0-60 of around 4.5 seconds. Prices on the 2012 Toyota Tacoma pickup will start at $17,685, including an $810 destination charge, the company said on Wednesday. That's a $510 increase over last year's price.
